3006 Springfield
How much kick does a 3006 Springfield Rifle have?
im 13 105 lbs. and was wondering if i would be able to shoot it. I don't have a lot of experience.

A rifle that weighs 8 lbs will have 17.6 lbs of recoil
20 gauge, 2.75" (1 at 1220) 6.5 21.0
The 20 gauge shot gun at 6.5 lbs of weight will have 21.0 lbs of recoil
According to these tables the 30/06 has less recoil then a 20 gauge shotgun. Are you able to shoot a 20 gauge? If so, you should be able to shoot the 30/06. But let me tell you these tables are not what I thought it would be. I have always been under the impression my 06 kicked more then my 12 gauge. Evidently I was mistaken.
