What kind of bow should I buy?

I am very new to archery, but would like to try hunting deer with one in October, so I'd like to buy something no later than August. Right now I'm practicing with a youth bow that was given to me by a friend. I am trying to shoot at least a dozen arrows a day right now. The draw length is too short for me, and I could handle quite a bit more draw weight. I should be able to afford something in the $400-$450 range by August. Any suggestions or tips for buying a bow would be greatly appreciated.
Just for the record, I'm trying to shoot more than a dozen arrows a day, but due to time, sometimes its tough to shoot at all. I'm a 34 yr old, 200# man. I have no problem drawing a 70# bow, but would prefer something a bit lighter....maybe 60 to 65#

I second the advice to find an archery shop. You need to be properly measured for draw length and decide the draw weight you want. You can tell a good archery shop (not some kid working the Lodge counter at the sporting goods store) what you want a bow for, what you want it to do and how much you want to spend and they can make recommendations.

Also, I would spend more on a base model bow than a lesser bow with all the bells and whistles. You can add those things later when you get the extra money. Things like low light pin sights, rests, peep sights, etc can be added later.
