The Olympic games: who thinks they're a waste of time and money, and would rather not host it?
As a UK taxpayer, and as a London council tax payer, I will see hikes to pay for a games I simply couldn't give a toss about. I think the olympics have lost their importance over the years and I'm really not bothered about archery, swimming and table tennis
I'd like the world cup. Which is far, far cheaper - stadiums already in place
But who thinks the olympics is crap?

I don't care if it beneifts the UK. As a country, it won't benefit me. I don't own a hotel, a restaurant or sportwear shops, so how can I benefit? I'm paying, and I won't benefit.
i don't expect best answer for this 1 because i totally and utterly disagree with you, as a nation we should be proud to host the biggest sport fest in the world but no people like you have got to moan about it.
as i can see its not the country hosting it that is the problem its that it is in london and you will initially lose a bit of cash!!
well i can safely say that if we could have the infastructure that you will be getting and the upgrades to everything (that the rest of the uk is helping to pay for) then we would be proud and priviliged to host the greatest games.
