Back Seat Gun Rack
Can I legally transport a loaded firearm in Arizona?
I keep most every one of my firearms loaded while in my house. I'm tired of having to unload them all when transporting them to go shooting only to reload them when I get there. I carry my holstered pistol loaded while driving of course, but can I drive with my rifles loaded in the back seat? (hatchbacks don't technically have a trunk, so I can't "lock" them up) A few of my firearms don't have cases so they'd be in plain sight. Is it legal to drive with them loaded in AZ? I would love to get a locking gun rack too. Thanks for any advice, and thanks even more for any advice with legitimate sources.
Please do not bother with responses such as, "Why would you want to carry a firearm, they're evil and hurt people" or "Maybe you shouldn't carry guns" You will slightly annoy me and then be ignored. Thanks.
Arizona does not have any laws restricting the transportation of loaded firearms. You don't even need a permit to carry concealed as of July 29, 2010.
