Nosler Ballistic tip?
this year for deer season i made some reloads for 30-06 using 165 grain Nosler ballistic tip bullets @ 2840 fps and when i went to the range for sight in i found they shot great but then i tried to recover some the all had jacket seperation and look like the had exploded do you think they are sutable for deer
I have used them on deer and had very good results as far as penetration and knock down. But, like you, there was alot of seperation and fragmentation of the bullet. Many of these little pieces were found only when running the meat through the grinder.
