Benelli Super Black Eagle 2 or Beretta Extrema 2?

I'm looking at buying a new shotgun. I really do like the super black eagle 2. But i have also heard good stuff about the beretta extrema 2. Please leave your opinion. and how your gun has done for you or your friends.

Wow... great alternatives. It's like asking which super model to date. My primary shotguns are a Benelli, Beretta, Browning and a Winchester. I'm not brand prejudiced. Both of these guns are the ones found at Argentine dove hunting outfitters. They'll shoot when others have to be cleaned--two or three times! First the obvious: they don't shoulder the same to me. You need to see which of them has a more natural point for you. When I pull the SBE up it's right on. That matters significantly to me as it's the one that I’m going to use to take down fast moving birds. The Beretta has taken deer for me and I'd bring it rabbit hunting. After handling, the second thing that I notice being different is the recoil reduction. The SBE doesn't kick as softly as the Beretta gas system. Neither is bad, but I can tell the difference easily. The drawback to any gas system is when you finally have to clean it. But the Beretta system is hands-down the best gas system out now for durability. Ask the Argentines. I like the looks of the SBE more. Conclusion: Beretta Extrema 2 by a hair... unless I'm bird hunting... or showing off a gun. (Really: get the one that fits you best!)
