Bowhunting Clothing
I washed my carbon scent blocker bowhunting clothes with scent free laundry detergent and.....?
put it into a plasic container, and I was woundering if I could put a evergreen branch into container or something else.I am going to active clothes in dryer 3 days pryer to using them. Or dont I have to put anything into the container with clothes. This is my first year with carbon clothes and I would like some storage help or anything else. I reason I want to put a evergreen branch into container is to make the outside of clothes smell like evergreen tree. Good idea or not? I want to use the clothes for bowhunting deer.
A pine branch will work fine as long as there are Pine tree's in the area you intend to hunt. You don't want to stand out, you want to blend in. I take a quart size Ziploc Bag and put some actual soil and leaves in it after punching a dozen or so small holes in (1) side of the Ziploc. I then put it in the bigger bag that has my hunting clothes in it with the perforated side facing away from the clothes. Then I reseal the bigger bag. The soil and leaf scents get into the hunting clothes but don't transfer any moisture. This way the clothes will not mildew, but the scent is an all natural "woods" scent. Works for me during bowhunting season or firearms season.....
