Browning Shotgun Chokes
Which Browning choke tubes are in my shotguns?
I have an A500 and a Citori.
the choke tube on the A500 has 1 dash... which tube is this?
the top barrel on the Citori has 3 dashes and the bottom barrel has 1 dash.
i mostly hunt upland game, ie.. pheasants and quail at medium range... which tubes would you recommend?
how do i read the "dash system" on the choke tubes?
any help would be appreciated.
Your A500 has a full choke tube, your Citori has modified in the top and full in the bottom.
I Full, II Improved Modified,III Modified, IIII Improved, IIIII Skeet, none Cylinder.
For medium distance shots I'd use modified or full. Put a piece of posterboard up at the distance you normally shoot at and pattern each gun with the different tubes to determine which choke tube gives you the best pattern with no open areas at that distance.

No problem Sniper, the link sure looks like it should be correct! I think sometimes a lot of items like that get lumped together and they'll list something incorrectly on a site.
