Browning X Bolt 300 Wsm

Muzzle Break or No Muzzle Break?

First of all I'm a Browning Fan, I am contemplating between two models of Browning Rifles, both are in the 300 wsm. The first model is the Browning A-bolt with an option Boss (Muzzle Break); next is the Browning X Bolt (A more ergonomic stock & detachable magazine) however no muzzle break. Being prior service just about every firearm I fired had a muzzle break, loud but reduces coil, however in the case of 300 wsm is a muzzle break really worth it?

In addition: I thought about getting the X butt and having a Gunsmith make a muzzle break however I know this would void the warranty...

Muzzle brakes simply don't belong on hunting firearms. The concept of the BOSS is a good one for paper punching, but it really has no business sitting on the end of a hunting rifle, either. I've never liked the aesthetics of the A-bolt, but it's a fine rifle without the BOSS. The "more ergonomic" X-bolt stock has the disadvantages of both wood and synthetic, and is yet another example of the manufacturers selling manure and calling it roses. And the detachable magazine is a negative, not a positive, in a hunting rifle. There's a world of difference in desirable qualities between military and hunting rifles, and solid reasons for them.
