Also on the scopes, what do you reccomend as far as zoom and aperature? 40 or 50 mm , and 3-10, 3-9, etc...
I am hunting mainly Whitetails, maybe some elk... Probably a lot of long range shooting. I would like to buy just the basic rifle that will get the job done, but still have an accurate piece of equipment.
All I can tell you is what I know.....
I have a Remington 700 SPS and VTR --- Both are chambered in .308.....
Both are accurate, decently priced and have been a pleasure to use.....
