How do I go about purchasing a gun in CA?
I'm a 21 y/o female, and I live in San Bernardino County in CA. I want the gun for self defense purposes. I've been doing a little bit of research online, but I haven't found anything that COMPLETELY explains what I need to do:
I want a gun that I'll be able to handle easily, but that will do damage if I need it to.
It's for self defense purposes, but I want to be able to CARRY IT on me, whether concealed or unconcealed, but I do want to be able to keep it in my purse for when I walk around campus after my classes are over at night, or when I get out of work (both after dark).
I've heard that CCW are damn near impossible for ordinary citizens to get, so would I still be able to carry my gun in my purse?
What's a good gun?
How much would all of this cost me, and how long would it take?
I know it's a lot, but all answers are appreciated. Best answer gets 10 points!!!
A CCW is not hard to get, just go through the propper channels.
