Franchi Shotgun Barrels
Can anyone identify this shotgun?
It's a Franchi semi-auto 12-ga. It looks pretty much exactly like the Franchi AL-48, but it doesn't have a recoiling barrel and the bolt looks different. The markings say that the barrel is ChromeMoly.
I'm told that it's a newer gun, and it looks it. It's in perfect condition. Not so much as a single scratch on it.
Apparently, it had a chunk of material of some sort that was supposed to absorb recoil. However, the recoil of many 3" Magnums destroyed the material and made the gun kick like a mule.
I...honestly have no idea what the heck this thing is, which is sort of embarrassing because I'm supposed to. I can't find it on the internet anywhere. Any ideas?
I have a pg 85, pg 80, and a 610 variopress? the others are the 48, spas, and a couple of OU's, and a pump. all are 12 gauge, doesn't say anything about 3 inch mag. The 85 has a shock absorber in the stock, the 80 does not, the 610 does.
