Holster
How do I know what size holster to buy?
I am looking to buy a shoulder holster for someone for Christmas (it's what he wants) and I am not sure how to go about it. It is a Ruger 22, and I know I have to take into account the size of the barrel. But does that include the entire length of the gun or just the barrel that extends off the front? It looks like the part that extends is about 3", but the entire length is about 6". Any suggestions as to what kind to get? I do not know a lot about guns..Help

The holster manufacturer needs to know what type of gun and the length of the barrel. They know how to make a holster to fit your gun with this information.
