Hunting Gear Bags
Why do people enjoy the thrill of hunting/fishing?
It's always been a subject that bothers me; why do people feel so much excitement and happiness when they bag a 10 pt buck, or reel in a big bass? I'm not saying I'm above it; I don't personally like to hunt but I do fish and I get that same thrill when I catch something. Is this some kind of left over, instinctual adrenaline from when we had to hunt to survive? And does it strike anyone else as kind of sadistic (this part more geared towards hunters b/c obviously all the tree huggers think its terrible 
) that we get such excitement out of killing an animal, even if it is going to be put to good use?
I think genetic, ancestral memory is very possible. It's the same reason why some people are afraid of the dark, because that's when all the predators would come out and go after our grandfathers' great grandfathers. Also if you ask a bunch of little kids what they're afraid of, even kids from places like NYC and LA, they wont say burglars or muggers but just about all of them will say scary monsters. It's been confirmed through several university studies that these really are leftover memories of us getting jacked by lions and crocodiles and hyenas.
