best place to buy rifle scope?

Hey guys does anyone know were i can purchase a great long rang scope.Im in australia and there way more exspensive here from what i can find so if anyone knows of a place here that maybe i missed please let me know if not i will be buying from overseas.If i have to buy overseas does anyone know of a good place to buy been looking at leupold mark 4 lr/t 4.5 -15x50 in mil dot also nightforce nxs but what you would pay in the states example $1100 you would pay $1600 here for the nightforce i cant find here for less than$1900 and up and about $1600-$1700 for leupold mark 4 any detailed suggestions would help oh and my price range will be about $1200 at best.Im also open for other scope suggestions more on the long range side as it will be for 500 to 1000 yard shooting bright, clear, accurate as its for compitition.
