Mossberg 500 Combo 12 Gauge Shotgun
mossberg 500 modified choke, what does modified choke mean?
i bought a mossberg 500 and it says modified choke on side of barell, but I dont visually see a choke on the tip of the shotgun, so what exactly is a modified choke barell? its a 12 gauge. Does this make it a cylinder bore? I do not see grooves in the barells(combo)
Your Modified has a slight constriction at the muzzle. Slightly tighter than Cylinder Bore or Improved Cylinder, not as tight as Full. Better for longer range shots than cylinder bore. There will be no grooves present except in slug barrels.
