Mossberg Tactical Shotgun Accessories
Which tactical stock and other accessories would you recommend for a Mossberg 590a1 SPX?
My parents insist on getting me a "SHTF" shotgun for christmas (hey that's alright with me!) and they have pretty much decided on the Mossberg 590a1 SPX 9 shot 12ga. pump action shotgun. Now I plan on leaving the factory stock on it for home defense purposes due to the location of the safety on the top of the gun which can be difficult to reach with a pistol grip tactical stock. However, I would also like to have a little fun at other times and turn it into a "tacticool" flashy shotgun with a tactical stock, laser sight, flash light, the whole 9 yards so to speak. It seems that most people either choose the Mesa Tactical stock or Knoxx but I don't really know what the difference is between the two or if one is "better" than the other? I also read that the quality of laser sights and flashlights are very important so that they will survive being mounted on the end of a 12ga. shotgun. What are some highly recommended brands to go with for these type of items? Thanks guys!
I have an ATI adjustable folding stock for my 500 persuader. It's a good, solid, comfortable stock, but the problem with the safety you mentioned is definitely a pain. As for rails, shotgun quad rails can be found pretty cheap on ebay and cheaperthandirt. As far as lights and lasers go, check out surefire and NC Star. NC connotes crap, but their higher end stuff is acually pretty good.
