Pig Hunting
is it fun to go pig hunting?
i got invited to go with one of my friends and her family. plus i think she is trying to hook me up with her brother who is gorgeous! and he likes me but i want to know if anyone has gone before and is it fun? it would be sort of like a camping trip but you go hunting to lol
If the thought of slaughtering an unsuspecting animal thrills you then I guess you'll have a ball.
There are two common ways of pig hunting. One is to take dogs out into the scrub and set them loose on the scent of pigs. They pick up the pigs smell and then chase them around until the animal is distressed and bewildered.
Then the brave hunter will shoot his or her rifle at the pig until it is dead (this is often from a safe vantage point as we wouldn't want the pig to retaliate would we?).
The other way is the same with the dogs but the brav hunter will wait until a number of dogs have a hold of the pig and are literally tearing it to pieces. At this point the hunter will move in for the kill with a knife and slaughter it. This is for the type of hunter who enjoys 'wet work'.
Reminds me all a little like bull fighting.
I think the question that you really need to follow up here with is, "Do you really want to associate with a family of red necks - even if the brother is 'gorgeous'?".
My answer to that is a definete NO!
PS. Wild boar meat is usually not eaten as it is infested with tape worms so its actually unfit for human consumption. So this killing is all in the name of sport. Wonder why it isn't an Olympic event.
