Sa Hunting Rifle
Selecting scope rings... How?
Hey guys!
Many of you have helped me figure out that I want to purchase a:
-Remington 700 SPS 30-06 rifle
-Leupold VX-I Rifle Scope - Matte - 3-9x40mm
Now it is time for me to figure out how to get that scope mounted...
I was looking at, Leupold Dual Dovetail Mount Bases - Remington 700 LA & SA, but then I have no idea what do do for rings...
I was looking at Leupold Dual Dovetail Scope Rings, but do I want LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH?
This will be used for deer hunting.
(Also do you guys think it is a smart move going with Leupold base/rings?)
With a 40mm scope and the remington sps you need the Leupold medium height rings. Make sure they are the 1" rings. I just got two of my friends into hunting, they both bought the SPS and both bought 40mm scopes.
Yes, Leupold makes some of the best rings out there. The dual dove system is extremely strong. Everybody I hunt with has leupold bases and rings regardless of their brand of rifle/scope.
