Which ammo will work better for deer hunting with my new 30-06, Federal Fussion or Remington Express Core-Lokt?

I would be using a 165 gr. bullet and want to know which brand will cause more damage and have greater stoping power on a whitetail deer. I have used rem. core-lokt but I always have track the deer and I have heard with federal fussions you don't have to track so much. Of course shot placement is important with any bullet.

Both are excellent choices, and they both have proven themselves to be sure deer killers. In the 2007 deer season, I used the Fusion .30-06, 165 grain, and I found them to be very accurate when sighting in. Sadly, I didn't get to see a deer to shoot at. I know the Fusion is very good for weight retention/penetration because of the special jacket-to-core bonding process. But I personally use the Remington Core-Lokt in my .30-06 in 150 grain, and they are plenty accurate for what I need it to do in the woods. The deer I have shot with it have not gone more than 20 yards, if not straight down that is. Both cost about the same, so go with whatever shoots best in your rifle, and you will for sure have a dead deer with either one.
