Shotgun Shells For Home Defense
Saiga 20 ga Shotgun?
I have been looking at a Saiga 20 ga semi-auto to use for home defense. My local gun shop wants $395 for it. Is there any reason why I should not buy it. i am interested in reliability issues. Is there another brand that accepts magazines that are better. If I got a 12 gauge, what shells could I use to keep them from going through the walls and into my neighbor's apartment?
If you get a 12 gauge you could use bird shot, it would blow an enemy/intruder away at close distance and it wouldn't go much farther than your own wall. As for the 20 ga I don't know much about the saiga but i'm sure if your only using it for home defense it would be reliable. Hunting would be a different story but if it's a defense gun you should be fine. If you want my oppinon screw the 20 ga get a 12, you can have a lot more fun with it.
