I need parts for a Benelli Nova!?
I own a Benelli Nova and i want my 12 year old brother to shoot it also, and i had noticed that Remington 870s have extendable stocks for sale ranging from 60- 150 dollars. I have checked the benelli website, but i couldn't find an extendable stock. Do you know any aftermarket parts for Benelli shotguns?
The stock on the nova cannot be changed due to the way it attaches to the reciever. The supernova stocks can be modified though.
I love my Benelli shotguns, but there are very few aftermarket parts out there for any of thier models.
My advice: get him a NEF single shot in a youth size. You can get a nice 20 ga for about $130, sometimes less. Its his very own first gun, and its not too much more than the stock would have been. The 20 ga also wont scare the hell out of him like a 12 ga, and is versitile enough to hunt a lot of stuff with. You could also get a lower end or used pump gun for about $200. I would encourage you to seek out a 20 ga.
I would have to say the Nova is a pretty bad shotgun to give a 12 yr old, even a big one. Its very light and the recoil is pretty stout. Its a fast way to start a flinch.
