How do I go about fitting a silencer to my Walther G22?
I just bought this gun today and would like to know how I would go about fitting it with a silencer. I already have one picked out, I just need to know if I need to get the barrel threaded or if it is already threaded. Also can I remove the front sight and how? I will be adding a red dot scope which will render the front sight useless so I wanna get rid of that as well.

I believe the G22 has M12X1mm threads. There are adaptors available to convert to 1/2-28, the most common threads used on 22 rim fire silencers in the USA. You can find an adaptor here; http://www.targetsports.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1362 Most silencer makers should be able to supply you with the proper adaptor. If your barrel is not threaded, a gunsmith can thread it for you or you can send it here; http://www.hi-desertdog.com/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=41 .
From the pictures I have seen of the G22, it appears to have a set screw on the underside of the front sight. Loosening this may allow for front sight removal.
